“Wife and I had a wonderful relaxing stay at this beautiful villa. Had everything we needed and the pool was refreshing. The location of the villa was perfect for us. Safe, quiet area and minutes drive to our favorite Arashi beach. Frode was always available to answer questions or concerns. 100% would recommend.”

“Frode was very responsive and helpful. The villa is beautiful! The outdoor living space with pool, lounge area, table, and full bathroom was awesome, and very private. This location could be advertised with AANR ;-) I only used the indoor shower once in the week. The upstairs bedroom with balcony was perfect. When we needed to escape the sun, there is plenty of shade outside. When the heat became too much, the tile flooring throughout and AC was a wonderful escape. As advertised, the stairs to the upstairs are very steep. Think like a ships ladder. I carried all the luggage up and down and transported things up and down for my wife. She is not as sure footed as I am. For a vacation stay, my wife was able to handle the stairs fine. There are good railings on both sides. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, there were bugs. But this is the Caribbean, so I think it should be expected. They were not excessive. Bring a quarter to use a cart at the grocery store.”

“GREAT stay! Clean linens, cold ac, and overall a great experience! Be prepared to have the most peaceful sleep ever in the hammocks! We came home and immediately ordered some for our backyard. Frode was AMAZING and super patient as this was our first time out of the country. BUT, the stairs were crazy steep and after a great night were a little intimidating. Overall amazing stay and will 100% stay again.”

“Very small kitchen & fridge. Extra fridge didn't cool. Washer didn't work well & would quit if you chose warm/hot water & had to be unplugged to reset. Dryer dried until last couple days & then stopped drying the clothes. There were lots of ants in the kitchen. No matter how much we wiped up they came back. There was a roach in the cupboard which we know that happens in the Caribbean. The cooler handle was rusted down. We lubed it up a bit and got it to work better. 3 beach towels provided for 5 people. Had I known I would have brought mine from home. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are scary. They are loose without much for support & they are not spaced correctly so be aware if you are up there & decide to drink. The shower & sink upstairs drain to the outside. Furniture was uncomfortable. Outside area was awesome. A great place to gather. The AC kept up with the heat in Aruba. Pics look better than it is. Kind of $$$ for the space. Outdoor bathroom by the road was weird.”

“Staying at Frode’s place was the perfect getaway for our family of four. From morning coffee on the shaded deck to night swims and hammocks, we had everything we needed for the week. Thoughtful touches like a Bluetooth speaker and spices for cooking were bonus finds. The beds were super comfortable as well and everything was spotless. Close to beautiful Arashi beach (1 mile), the house has beach chairs and snorkel gear too… everything you need for a week in Aruba :)”

“Nice location and home. Be aware of the stairs. There are no photos. They are really steep and they are not disability friendly or senior citizen friendly. I thought it was odd that they weren’t displayed. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen and we got bit by them.”

“Villa Esmeralda is very spacious, clean, and has everything you may need for a trip to Aruba. The outdoor area with the pool, hammocks, outdoor shower/bathroom was perfect to relax in and clean yourself up coming back from the beach. Frode was very responsive & offered many excellent recommendations. The villa is less than 10 minutes away (by car) from many great restaurants, beaches, and shops. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!”

“This home was perfect - location was key only few minutes to main attraction, beaches, restaurants. This home was just as described and we had a blast saying here ! Frode (host) was EXTREMELY helpful, great communication from begging to end he was so helpful and attentive. Even helped us linked up with our car rental and a gym ! “Villa Esmeralda was the perfect place for our family’s Aruba getaway. Everything was beautiful and exactly as described. The backyard was luxurious and private. The pool, palapa, add hammocks were our favorite places to relax after a long day in the sun or to enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings. Aruba is easy to travel to from the U.S., and Frode is a kind, helpful, and friendly host. He took extra measures to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. I would stay here again, and I recommend Frode as a host and Villa Esmeralda as a vacation home to family and friends. 10/10!”

“Our family (two adults and 4 and 7 year olds) enjoyed Villa Esmerelda for a week in late March. The villa is peaceful and private, back in a great little neighborhood of nice private villas and homes away from the main touristy hotel area, but still close enough to get there within 10 minutes or less. The house is comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor (one with two queen beds and another with a king bed) with a full bath, and a main bedroom and bath upstairs with a large tub and separate shower. We ended up all staying downstairs and it was perfect. The villa is really relaxing and super comfortable and we loved the private location away from the crowds. We ate breakfast and swam in the warm and very clean pool every morning and came back in the afternoon after the beach and lunch for late afternoon swims. The back/pool area is super relaxing. Frode was a great, responsive host and we really hope to stay again. 10/10!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Esmeralda. The house was perfect for our party of 2 couples and would comfortably accommodate more. The pool was lovely, especially in the evenings. The outdoor bathroom was convenient when hanging out by the pool. The air conditioners worked well and were greatly appreciated, especially in the evenings. The outdoor grill was well maintained and the kitchen was sufficiently equipped; we were able to prepare several awesome meals during our stay. The second refrigerator in the laundry room was great for storing drinks and ice. The setup of the house is as follows: First floor features a living room, kitchen, and dining area. To the left of the kitchen is a Jack & Jill bathroom attached to a bedroom w/ 2 queen beds. To the right is a bedroom with a king bed (you must enter this room to access the laundry room). The main bedroom/bath are up a precarious flight of stairs. Not an issue for us, but might be difficult for some. Beds are comfy!”

“Villa Esmeralda is paradise! It is everything you see in the pictures. We stayed for 4 nights and Frode was amazing. He’s communication was exceptional and check-in was easy. This villa would be great for families or groups. Plenty of room everyone. The pool is great and awesome to cool down in the yard. There is very nice full bathroom outside, that was useful when using the pool and still wet. The beach(es) are less then 2 minute drive from the villa. Everyday we drive down to watch the sunset. It’s one road straight down. Restaurants/Nightlife about 5 minute drive away as well! Everything is super close.”

“BEST HOME & BEST HOST! Not sure where to begin but this was such an amazing experience. Frode turned our trip from good to exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Frode told us where to go for the best watersport activities, arranged a private massage at the home and private yoga session at the home! His house was like a retreat home! His outdoor area is seriously breathtaking (we couldn’t get enough of the outdoor shower). The pool was a great size and my children spent an entire day in the pool playing and swimming laps. Inside of the home was just as nice, and CLEAN. It was the most well stocked home I’ve ever been in. Everything I needed in a home, Frode had it. The neighborhood is quiet and close to everything. The upstairs bedroom has a balcony that’s perfect to watch the sunset. Would book this home over and over again! Can’t wait to get back to Aruba just to stay at Frode’s home again.”

“Amazing!!! Frode and his house are absolute perfection. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and quickly answers any questions. The house itself is great - we stayed for 6 nights with our family and young kids. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms beautiful and clean. The washer and dryer are inside the house, which seems ti be rare in Aruba and the entire house had AC. The outdoor grounds are beautiful - our son enjoyed his adventures climbing on the rocks and iguana hunting and we all enjoyed the wonderful pool and outdoor dining area! The pool and outdoor areas are very clean and easily accessible! I also want to add that the baby items were great and Frode even added a wonderful foam mattress on top of the hard pack n play mattress! He truly thinks of everything! You can tell he takes pride in the property and taking care of his guests. Truly the kindest host we have had on Airbnb! I recommend the place without hesitation and hope to return soon!”

“This house was fantastic and Frode is an amazing host. I really appreciated the easy communication with Frode prior to and throughout the trip. Check in/out was seamless. The house was clean and spacious. It comfortably sleeps 8 people; there are sleeper sofas in each room but not sure how comfortable they would be to sleep on. The master bedroom upstairs is huge, but watch the stairs— very steep! (Probably not great for individuals with bad knees or toddlers). We had amazing weather throughout our stay and spent the days on the beach, but enjoyed hanging out by the lit up pool at night. The house is in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Overall- great experience. ”

He is also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful. The place was very clean and had all of the necessities for our stay. The bathrooms were fully functioning( flushing properly) with a beautiful view upstairs. The place is quiet, clean,spacious and calming. It is near the (Touristic Attraction) and close to all the lovely restaurants,bars, beaches of the area. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. We are a regular Airbnb travelers and would rate Frode place as one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places we have stayed in.”
