Villa Esmeralda

Frequently asked questions

Everything about staying at Villa Esmeralda — booking, payments, check-in and the house.

Can I book Villa Esmeralda directly, without Airbnb?

Yes — and booking directly at villa-esmeralda-aruba.com/book gives you the best available rate, because no platform commission is added on top. You also get direct contact with us and personal service before and during your stay.

How does payment work?

Payment is staged: 10% when you book, 40% ninety days before check-in, and 50% forty-five days before check-in. Each stage is charged to your chosen payment method.

Where can I read guest reviews?

Verified guest reviews are shown right here on our own website, on the home page. They come from real stays, so you can read genuine guest experiences before you book.

Who can book the villa?

The lead guest making the booking must be 18 or older. Families are very welcome — children of all ages can stay, and everyone in your party is simply registered before arrival.

Do you offer any discounts?

Occasionally we release last-minute availability at special rates. Contact us to check whether there are any current offers for your dates.

Where exactly is the villa located?

Villa Esmeralda is at Westpunt 39 in Noord, Aruba — one of the island's most desirable areas, close to Palm Beach, Arashi Beach and Boca Catalina. It's about a 10-minute drive from Eagle Beach and 3 minutes from Tres Trapi. You can find us on Google Maps by searching 'Villa Esmeralda Aruba'.

What makes this location special?

The villa sits on a quiet, spacious paved road, so you get more privacy and calm than properties in busier, densely built areas — while still being just minutes from the beaches and restaurants.

Can I snorkel with sea turtles nearby?

Yes. Tres Trapi beach, known for year-round sea turtle snorkeling, is a 3-minute drive from the villa.

Do I need a rental car?

The beach is within walking distance, but most guests rent a car for convenience. Uber is not available in Aruba and taxis can be expensive, so a rental car is usually the most practical and cost-effective way to get around.

What type of car do I need?

A regular car is perfectly fine for everything you’ll need — the villa is reached on a fully paved road, unlike some properties that require driving on unpaved terrain. A jeep is great for adventuring but is not required.

How many guests can stay at Villa Esmeralda?

Villa Esmeralda sleeps up to 12 guests across 3 bedrooms and a living room, with 8 beds in total. You always get the entire villa.

Is there a private pool?

Yes — a 40ft × 10ft (11.5m × 3m) private pool, open 24 hours, with a shallow lounge zone for kids and night lighting.

Is the villa private?

Yes — the whole property is fully private, and you have exclusive access to it and the pool throughout your stay.

Is there WiFi, and is the villa good for remote work?

Yes. The villa has fast fibre WiFi throughout, along with air conditioning and a peaceful setting, so it's well suited to both relaxing and working remotely.

Is parking available?

Yes — the villa includes two private parking spaces.

How does check-in work?

Check-in is self-service with a door code. Your personal door code is revealed 48 hours before arrival in your booking confirmation and guest portal, along with directions and parking instructions.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in may be available on request, depending on the schedule.

What do I need to do before arriving in Aruba?

Every traveller must complete Aruba's Embarkation & Debarkation (ED) Card before arrival. You can complete it online at edcardaruba.aw.

Can you help with transport, a chef or activities?

Yes — we're happy to help you plan your stay. We can assist with car rentals, private airport transfers, private chefs, and snorkelling or island tours.

What is the cancellation policy?

That depends on the rate you choose at checkout. We offer more than one option: a lower non-refundable rate, and a more flexible rate that refunds according to its schedule if you cancel in time. The exact terms and dates for your stay are shown side by side before you pay, so you choose the balance of price and flexibility that suits you. Whichever you pick, your booking keeps that policy — and future scheduled payments always stop when you cancel.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, Villa Esmeralda is pet friendly.
