Plan your week

Can we arrive to a stocked fridge?
Both Super Food and Ling & Sons offer home delivery. Place your order a day or two before arrival and step straight into villa life — pool, drinks, dinner — without an errand run on day one. Delivered before check-in, the villa crew receives it and fills the fridge for you (USD 75 service fee); delivered after arrival, there is no extra fee.
When is the best selection?
Fresh stock arrives on Thursdays. Thursday through Saturday is when Ling & Sons has its finest cuts, freshest fish, and best-stocked shelves. Sunday tends to be lean — plan accordingly.
Are stores open on Sundays?
Aruba restricts Sunday trading to around four hours — most stores open 9 AM–1 PM. If you’re arriving on a Sunday, delivery pre-ordered the day before is the most seamless option.
When should we do the drinks run?
Romar Trading closes at 12 PM on Saturdays and is shut Sundays. Visit Monday to Friday to have the full range available — and time to chill everything before the weekend gatherings.
Where do locals buy what?
Wine, beer & spirits: Romar (distributor prices). Premium meat & fresh fish: Ling & Sons. Dutch cheese & Jumbo products: Super Food. Fresh vegetables at accessible prices: Do It Center. Everyday staples: Save More. Bulk & household: PriceSmart. BBQ supplies & charcoal: Do It Center. Ice & quick top-ups: Ting Wei (opens 6:30 AM).

Local picks worth knowing

What’s the local beer?
Balashi — Aruba’s own beer, brewed on the island. Light and well-suited to the climate, the natural choice for pool days and BBQ evenings. Widely available across all stores.
Which cheese should we try?
Aruba is part of the Dutch Caribbean — aged Gouda and Edam are a local staple. Super Food carries the finest selection on the island, beautifully matched with wines from Romar.
What fish should we put on the BBQ?
Fresh mahi-mahi is Aruba’s signature fish — mild, meaty, and excellent on the BBQ. Ask at the Ling & Sons fish counter Thursday onwards for the freshest stock.
What if we don’t feel like cooking?
Ling’s prepared food bar is the best indoor food bar on the island — a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes, perfect for a relaxed evening at the villa when cooking isn’t on the agenda.
