Out exploring
- Where do we snorkel?
- Tres Trapi is the best place to see sea turtles — enter via the steps and swim further out, arriving early morning before the boats. Boca Catalina Beach is best for colorful fish and easy snorkeling: stay close to the shore rocks, calm water, all levels. Mangel Halto is the beautiful southern spot. Tip: bring your own gear — it often costs the same as renting.
- Which beaches should we not miss?
- Eagle Beach, Baby Beach, Andicuri Beach, Dos Playa, and Arashi Beach.
- Nature & adventure?
- Arikok National Park for desert landscapes, caves and wildlife; the hidden Conchi Natural Pool; Quadirikiri Cave with its natural skylights; and Fontein Cave with ancient drawings.
- Culture & local experiences?
- San Nicolas (street art), the Aruba Aloe Factory Museum and Store, the California Lighthouse, and Alto Vista Chapel.
- Best sunset spots?
- The California Dunes, and the Hooiberg for the view over the island.
